5 Minutes With Jenny Do

Meet Jenny Do, Owner and Director of Warwick Grove Florist. Her passion for flowers, creativity and dedication has seen the business grow from strength to strength and here she shares some insight on what inspires her, her career highlights and what her favourite flower is. Enjoy!

What inspired you to start a florist business?
I have always been interested in flowers and nature. When I was a child my mother would often find me in the garden picking flowers and arranging them at home. I find gardens and landscapes to be very peaceful and relaxing and I just love being around nature. I also wanted to create a great life for my daughter and give her as many opportunities as possible being a single mother.

How would you describe your floristry style?
At Warwick Grove Florist we have arranged flowers that are elegant and simple to soft and romantic – all the way through to large scale dramatic floral installations. Having such a talented creative team means we can always tailor our services to the customers wishes. It is our number one priority to ensure customers receive the highest quality service and that they are happy with the product.

What is your favourite flower and why?
I love any flower that is white! To me they represent purity, elegance and perfection and I just love their beauty. I feel so calm and relaxed around white flowers.

What has been your career highlight so far?
Winning the Interflora Florist of the Year for WA in 2016 was also a massive highlight for me, as well as being awarded one of the Business News 40 Under 40 winners recently!

What do you like to do to relax?

When I’m not busy at the shop, you can find me meditating at the park or colouring in – I love mindfulness activities as they help keep me calm and focused, running a business can get busy and stressful! I also love soaking up the sun at Perth’s beautiful beaches, looking after my little garden at home or working up a sweat at the gym.
